The Office of Access and Opportunity will be utilizing remote operations from December 17, 2025, to December 19, 2025, and December 22, 2025. Drop-ins are available via Zoom from 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The Office of Access & Opportunity will be closed during the University's winter break between December 23, 2025, to January 1, 2026.
The Disability Resources (ODR) unit of Access & Opportunity is the designated office at Appalachian State University for promoting opportunity, access, and civil rights based on a disability. ODR oversees access needs, applicable University resources/supports, and eligibility of appropriate accommodations (adjustments, auxiliary aids/services and reasonable modifications) based on disability for students and visitors. ODR is also responsible for oversight of accessibility of programs, services and activities; disability compliance requirements; and the facilitation of removing existing disability-related barriers within the built environment.
